Congregation B’nai Israel
St. Petersburg, FL
Congregation B’nai Israel of St. Petersburg hosts Pinellas County’s 3rd annual Pride Shabbat service, Friday, June 22 at 6:30 pm celebrating equality and inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, transgender, and questioning Jews, friends, families and allies. The Friday Night Kabbalat Shabbat service is the only Jewish LGBTQA+ Pride event on Florida’s West Coast.
Judaism teaches human beings are created b’tzelem elohim – in the image of God – and CBI welcomes people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in the religious, social, and educational life of our congregation and believe each individual is essential to our success as a synagogue and a community. Pride Shabbat is an opportunity for our community to come together side by side to share joyous and meaningful prayer in an inclusive environment.
