Updates from the Mitzvah Corps:
Mitzvah Day is Sunday, November 5th and registration is OPEN! Click the link to download the 2017 Mitzvah Day Application.
School Supply Drive: Pencils and paper are only the beginning of the needs facing students as start school in the Fall. We are partnering with Gulf Coast JFCS’s school drive to collect backpacks, markers, and everything else students need to be successful in school. Don’t know what kids need these days? Gift cards and checks are always welcome.
Mitzvah Farm Update: The CBI Farm Project is a CBI Mitzvah Corps Project that will ultimately provide food for those in need. The first phase is to build a small demonstration garden in the courtyard. Hydroponic towers will be utilized to grow vegetables. This method requires much less space and maintenance than an in-ground garden. Once this garden has become established, a larger scale farm will be built to grow enough vegetables to supply to those in our community who are in need. The “Mitzvah Farm” Fund has been established to accept your contributions to build the demonstration garden. To donate to this fund, please click here.
CBI’s refugee resettlement supply drive was a success!
