What is USY?
USY’s mission is to empower Jewish youth to develop friendships, leadership skills, a sense of belonging to the Jewish People, a deep engagement with and love for Israel, and a commitment to inspired Jewish living through meaningful and fun experiences based on the ideology of Conservative Judaism.

What is Kadima?
Kadima is the middle school age affiliate of United Synagogue Youth and The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Kadima is Hebrew for “forward.” Yom Island of Adventure invites Kadimaniks to join with USYers for a fun-filled day exploring Universal Studios with Jewish youth on February 14th, 2015. You must be a paid up youth member to participate.
What is Gesher Convention?
Gesher Convention is a Kadima convention held just for 8th graders from all over the HaNegev region! This experience is perfect for transitioning from Kadima into USY, and includes unbelievable amounts of fun.
Gesher Convention is staffed by the USY Regional Board, so you are able to get a true taste of what USY really is and how amazing the next 4 years of your life will be.

Not everyone had an opportunity for Jewish education when they were 13 years old. Not everyone took college courses about Judaism. Now is the chance to begin again! All are welcome. This course is also suitable for those wishing to learn more about Judaism. Topics will include prayer, kashrut, blessings, parenting, Shabbat, festivals, God, Torah, Israel, women’s changing roles in synagogue life and so much more! Partnering with Women's League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ) and the Melton Research Center at JTS, the Etz Chayim He curriculum will be the starting point, but the full direction of the class will depend on you! Purim fun for all ages after the Megillah reading, Purim Spiel and costume parade: Games and activities for young children, carnival games, bounce house, inflatable fun for kids and adults: sports complex activity bounce house, jousting arena, basketball, dump bucket--prepare to get wet! There will be Gaga and prizes, hot dogs and hamantaschen. Please bring $$$ for some super fun tzedakah opportunities! -

Brush up on your Hebrew reading while learning or reviewing the parts of the Seder! Our focus will be reading fluency, but we will have plenty of opportunity to discuss the parts of the Seder in detail, investing them with meaning and music to add to our Passover experiences.
