Hayom Harat Olam, Today the world comes into being. Each year we reflect on themes of renewal, teshuvah (repentance/return), malkut (governance), zichronot (memories), shofarot (calling out). We consider how our actions and choices affect out lives, the lives of those we care about and the world around us. We examine ourselves and the world, considering what we would like to stay the same and what we wish we could change.
At CBI, we want you to celebrate and pray with us! We are so grateful to those who join us virtually and help support our holy community AND YOUR physical presence makes such a difference in our beautiful sanctuary. When you join us for services, for schmoozing, for singing, and for studying together all of our souls are elevated! There will be many opportunities this year for connecting to our tradition and one another. In lieu of Mitzvah Men’s Club Break the Fast bags, one new opportunity is a communal break-fast following Neilah at CBI. To RSVP, click here!

Our tradition teaches us to honor the memory our departed loved ones during Yizkor services on Yom Kippur as well Shemini Atzeret, Pesach and Shavuot
The Yizkor service provides us the opportunity to pause and reflect upon the memory of loved ones no longer with us. We express our hope the deceased rest in peace under God’s divine protection. We pledge to give tzedakah in their memory and, as we honor their memory, we help CBI secure its future.
