Founded in 1923, Congregation B’nai Israel is a traditional Conservative egalitarian congregation. We welcome members and visitors alike and make it easy to participate in Jewish life. We know each other and provide support in times of celebration and grief. We share the joys of Jewish worship and learning with family, friends and community. From generation to generation, CBI leaves no one behind.
Congregation B’nai Israel welcomes interfaith & LGBT families.

DecDecember 23 , 2025MMC & Combating Antisemitism as an FJMC Value
Tuesday, Dec 23rd 6:45p to 8:30p
The FJMC Committee to Combat Antisemitism was created shortly before our Philadelphia Convention in 2023. This was the summer before the massacre of 1200 residents of Israel on October 7. But overt antisemitism had been growing with events around the world before that tragic date. Every FJMC club and region has the capabilities to create antisemitism programming. We can advocate with local and national legislators, collaborate with religious and Jewish day schools, access FJMC partners like ADL or Blue Square Alliance, support public schools and colleges to reduce antisemitism threats and sponsor workshops. These topics will be shared with your club and guests on Dec 23 by Irv Varkonyi at CBI. Irv Varkonyi, Chair of the FJMC Committee to Combat Antisemitism, offers an overview of FJMC efforts to understand and enable clubs and regions to take action against antisemitism. Establishing a program about antisemitism is now a requirement of the Quality Club award. We'll share information about our webinars, action items, partnerships, our Committee, and our page on the FJMC website, https://fjmc.org/initiatives/combating-antisemitism. -
