Whether this is your first holiday season with us or your fiftieth, we invite you to celebrate with us "Side by Side at CBI." 

Hanukkah Schedule

 

NIGHT 1: Sunday, November 28

5:30 pm - First Night Candle Lighting Party!

Join Rabbi Weintraub in front of CBI on Sunday, November 28 at 5:30PM to brighten your night with the first light. Cantor Schultz will lead a singalong. Latkes and donuts to follow. Mayor Kriseman is scheduled to join us! The whole event will be outdoors.

58th St entrance will be closed - please use the back entrance.

7:45 pm - Bridge the Bay

Adults, dust off your battle sword and shield and help Bridge The Bay by participating in a lively discussion: Would You Fight With the Maccabees? This ZOOM event will be led by Rabbis Rachel Blatt, Kol Ami; David Weizman, Congregation Beth Shalom and Philip Weintraub, Congregation B'nai Israel.

 

DAY 5/NIGHT 6: Friday, December 3
Shabbat Hanukkah Celebration!

All are welcome to a Hanukkah Dance Party at 4:30, followed by Hanukkah and Shabbat candlelighting AND Shabbat services at 5:00PM

Adults and children are invited to celebrate the fifth day of Hanukkah outside at CBI with music, dancing and Shabbat services. Bring your own menorah to light candles along with the community.

Shabbat Hanukkah Pasta Dinner at 6:00 pm

Join us outdoors in the courtyard for pasta and cupcakes! Reservations ARE REQUIRED and will be limited to the first 60 registrants. Cost of dinner is $18 for adults and $5 for children. Register here.

DAY SEVEN/NIGHT 8: Sunday, December 5

10:30 am Rosh Chodesh Women's Group (Zoom)

Celebrate the new month and the seventh day of Hanukkah. Dr. Starr Silver will speak about her Jewish Journey. This event is on ZOOM.

4:00 pm Chase the Dreidel 5K

Oy vey! How fast can a dreidel run?

Come find out on Sunday, December 5 at 4 pm as our life-sized dreidel spins down the streets of St. Petersburg and the Pinellas Trail on a flat, chip-timed course.  Chase the Dreidel is pure fun – everyone is welcome!

Chase the Dreidel 5K

Registration for this chip-timed race on a flat course is only $30 before the race, or $36 day-of. Registrants receive a race shirt and a potato pancake latke supper. The police-secured course starts here at CBI and runs along the beautiful Pinellas Trail. Just want to eat? Buy a food-only coupon for just $5!
 
Walkers & strollers welcome. Everybody gets a goody bag. Prizes for winners at many levels. Kids under 11 can take part in our fun run and children's activities.
 

Chase the Dreidel 5K draws participants from across Tampa Bay for a family-centered experience, promoting healthy exercise and shared enjoyment!
